Empowering California's HBCU Legacies

     The mission of the California HBCU Legacy Connection is to unite California-native students not their way to an HBCU, California-native HBCU alumni and HBCU alumni currently residing in California with a shared purpose: to empower, uplift, and inspire the next generation. Through our passionate community, we aim to spread the profound impact, joy, and transformative power of attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to high school students across the state.

    Our mission goes beyond mere connection; it's about nurturing these young minds throughout their high school journey and beyond. We are committed to bridging the gap between high school and college, equipping students with the knowledge, resources, and mentorship needed to transition seamlessly into higher education. We firmly believe in teaching them the importance and invaluable benefits of choosing an HBCU for their academic and personal growth.

    At the heart of our mission lies the dedication to create opportunities for these aspiring students. We are devoted to offering scholarships that ease their financial burden and open doors to higher education. We are determined to provide assistance for the moving process, making the transition to an HBCU a reality for those who dream of it.

    Through campus tours, we seek to broaden horizons and expose students to the vibrant atmosphere and rich history that HBCUs offer. Our mission is to create a tight-knit family within California, where bonds are forged, support is unwavering, and aspirations are fueled. We envision a community that stands united to uplift our neighborhoods, driving positive change and demonstrating that HBCUs are not just equal to, but indeed surpass any other education option in California.
